Sharing Outlook .pst files

Does anyone know the best and most secure way to share outlook data
files across a network? I had heard that some outlook versons doesn't
like to be shared. If that is true which version should we get and can
I set it up so that each workstation has the same files, folders and
history of replies. I am trying to decide if we should get a NAS,
Microsoft SB server 2003, or Samba server.

just looking at all the options and potential compatability issues.

Aloha JT,

If by "share" you mean so that multiple users can open them simultaneously...you
can't. Outlook will only let one user open a PST file at a time. If you
mean that you want to be able to access them, at different times, from different
computers it doesn't much matter as long as all of your machines can access
the shared directory where the PST is located.

Please note that Microsoft DOES NOT support having your primary mail location
be a PST file on a network drive.
