I am new at this. Using PowerPoint 2002, I created a
slide show for a basketball team with music and "fade
smoothly" transitions and burned it onto a CD (using pack
and go) and tried to show it at our high school. The
timings were all off. They had PowerPoint 97 (with
no "fade smoothly" transition) so it defaulted to "no
transition". It seems to me the transition time should go
from the beginning of one slide to the beginning of the
next and not add transition time between. I thought I
solved the problem by changing to "fade through black"
fast (which Ppt 97 supports), but the timing was still
wrong and the music and slides did not end at the same
time.
Another issue: The basketball team wants copies of the
slideshow. I downloaded the PPT 97 viewer to include in
the pack and go. When I tried it on my neighbor's
computer, about half of the pictures didn't show. All we
saw was the blue background.
Does the PPT 2003 viewer show 2002 presentations properly?
Would it be better to tell them to use the internet
viewer? Can you tell me how one would do that?
