Sharing Problem

I've done everything to get sharing to work. Disabled Internet security, set
ports tp 2302 or to automatic. My system will not create a Public IP address.
Therefore I always get the error - No public address is available for this
shared session

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is a great program - just need
to get this working.

Thanks

Finally figured out the problem. Microsoft help was no help - they don't
understand the product at all! The Word group covers support for OneNote.

In any event, as soon as I connected my computer directly to the Web and not
through the router, things worked fine. To use the router and still get a
public IP address, one has to enable some special features which I still must
do. At least, I got it working for now.

Interesting. Are you on SP1? I don't know if that makes a difference,
but for what it's worth OneNote does support NAT and private addresses.

I just tried starting a shared session on my home computer, and in the
"Current Shared Session" Task Pane, I get a button marked "Shared Address
Information", which shows the internal address:port for participants on
the same network and the external address:port for participants on the
Internet.
