sharing some calendar info with others

I am trying to figure out how can I share some calendar info with my wife.
She is a teacher- I am a manager of a dept in a stor

We are both are leaders of youth organizations and want to keep track of what is on the calendar. Is next weekend free? or when is ...... homecoming ? How can we share this info at home ?

We are networked, and share some data files but how do we get so we can sync certain calendar items at home ?

This is all heading towards getting info to our palm pilot'
If we sync - off each others machine - I don't care Tom has a detention at 8 am & she doesn't care Billy Bob is working 8-11 ?

We are using Outlook x

Ideas ?

Nothing is built into Outlook 2002 for peer-to-peer sharing, except for
Internet free/busy times. See
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/share.htm#other for available third-party
methods.

My husband and I just send each other meeting requests when we're doing an
event together or forward appointments as iCalendar items.
