Sharing word 2002 documents

Is there any way of sharing Word 2002 documents on a
network so that users do not receive the message "file
already in use.

Desktops are XP, Netowrk is Win2K.

Thanks for all suggestions

No, there is not, at least if you want people to be able to make changes.
Word is not set up to allow multiple people to edit documents
simultaneously. First, look into templates if what you want is for people to
be able to create new documents based on your old document. Make it a
template. Second, if you make the file "Read-Only" this may avoid the
message.
