I have created a database in Access 97 that will be
utilized by approximately 30 people. What is the best way
to set Record Locking. Should I use the EDITED RECORD in
the Tools, Options, Advanced menu? Is there anything else
that I need to do or set?

better set no locks, unless you really need to lock some table (set this in
a form for that table)
access 97 use page lock, so when user edit one record - other records can be
also locked, depending on record size
