Shceduling Question

John

I have a task that has a total duration of 4 weeks. However, the resource
that is assigned is not going to work on the task for 4 weeks. Instead, she
will spend 2 hours within that four week period to accomplish the task. How
do I reflect this? Do I need to change the task type or whether it is
effort driven? Overall how do I show this in Project Pro?

Thanks

Hello John,
Two solutions :
1 - In the "Assign Resources" dialog box, enter 2h in the Unit cell in
front of the resource you want to assign on the 4 week task.
Ms Project will calculate an assignment of 1%...That means that the resource
will work 0.1 h each day on that task. Not very realistic.
2 - In the Task Usage view, remove the previous 0.1j when the
resource doesn't work on this tasl, and enter 1h or 2h when he/she works.
