I have projects with numerous excel workbook that typically have 5 to 20
sheets each. Each sheet can have 1 to 50 pages when printed. I need to
print them to individual PDFs per sheet and then assemble them into an
appendix for the project. The first 1 to 3 pages of the appendix are the
table of contents with the workbook name, sheet name, starting page number,
number of pages and the ending page number. I don't print the last two
columns, but use them to calculate the page number.
I would like a routine that can read the table of contents and automatically
update the first page number in the page setup, and then print the PDF. Is
this possible? My experience writing macros consists mainly of recording my
mouse clicks and then slightly editing the resulting macro as needed, but
this requires a look up in the middle of the macro. Can someone direct me
to a resource than can show me how to do this? I know how to create the
cell for the print name using the concatenate function, but I have no idea
how to automatically read from the table of contents file during the middle
of a routine.
Thank you,
Brad
