Sheet tab color

My sheet tabs have red text instead of black - I'm not aware of having
changed any settings. How do I get black text back into sheet tabs?

PS: re earlier posts on similar issue - I don't have PDF Maker plugin in XL
startup folder.

What version of XL are you using?

Mac XL 10 with Service Release 1
(I have installed ALL Office updates available from mactopia)

I have the same exact problem, except mine are white. OS X 10.3,
Microsoft Excel X for Mac Service Release 1

Corrupted file.

If you double click the file to start Excel and the tabs are white, the file
might be corrupt.

You can tell if by starting Excel alone, then open the file in question. If
the tabs are ok, then the file is corrupted. Save as a SYLK file, open it and
re-save as an Excel file and this should fix it.

In my case, it doens't seem to be the problem of a particular Excel
file being corrupted, as I encounter the same problem even if I create
a new document.

Could it possibly be the problem of the Excel program itself?
Sigh...longing for a solution~
