Shell scrap object handler

When right clicking on and image (.jpg for instance) that is in the body of
a message received in Outlook 2007, and after copying and pasting it to a
folder, why is it automatically named "scrap"? Why can it only be opened in
Word? Can I make it revert back to it's original format?
