Shifting view

Hi,

in PPT 2007, I am zoomed in > Fit Slide to Current Window, and I am looking
at an area toward the edge of the slide.

I select an object (e.g., a text box) and Delete the object.

The slide view relocates to be centred both horizontally and vertically
(still the same zoom level).

How can I stop this happening? Any ideas please?

I'm afraid this is an annoying bug in 2007. AFAIK there's no fix yet.
