Shortcut for clear contents?

On my keyboard, the Delete key also enters edit mode. Perhaps what kevs
is looking for is the "forward delete" key (often marked "del") on
extended keyboards.

Also, CTRL-b by default clears contents.

Yep! I hadn't considered the common PowerBook user who doesn't have the
"Del" Key :-/ I admit this tends to be a bit confusing. I'm sorry about
that.

Yes I have a desktop with the forward delete, but never used it to clear
contents because, well because I was so used to using the clear contents
(eraser symbol) that I put on my toolbar.

I think this will be much better!!!!!!!!!!

Please anyone a shorcut for clear contents
I've not seen the rest of this thread, so not completely sure what you are
asking for, but via the Tools | Customize Keyboard, you can set up a
shortcut. Select Edit in the left column, Clear contents in the right, and
assign a key you like.
