Is there a key combo shortcut for forward delete? In other applications control-d does this, but not in Word.

It isn't a matter of what computer so much as it is a matter of which
keyboard. The Mini doesn't include a keyboard and there are several from
Apple as well as 3rd party models. If you have a *standard* keyboard the
Forward Delete is in the Navigation Key group just to the right of the
primary return key. If you have a compact keyboard or some other style your
best bet is to read the documentation that came with it or visit the mfr's
web site... If necessary contact their customer support - or better yet the
folks who profited from selling it to you.

I presently have an Apple Pro keyboard with the navigation keys and, of course, the forward delete key which I find useful. I am going to purchase an Apple wireless keyboard, and the newest model has no forward delete key. So I'm wondering if there is some key combination that would provide this attribute for Word 2008, noting that control-d works for other applications including this post (but not Word, Excel or Powerpoint).

It's not a deal breaker as far as the wireless keyboard is concerned, but if there is some combo for Office I probably would use it. I could always purchase a wireless version of the Apple Pro keyboard which does have that key, but I would prefer Apple's latest wireless keyboard which is lighter and smaller and I'm trying to see if I can have it both ways.

The new wireless Apple keyboard behaves just like a laptop keyboard, meaning
that you will need to press Fn (function) + back-delete to get a forward
delete.

Thanks for the reply. That should do all that I want. I'm expecting to look at the wireless keyboards this afternoon.
