Shortcut from Contact to Streets & Trips Map?

N

Nehmo Sergheyev

Outlook 2003
Microsoft Streets & Trips 2005
(Also have Microsoft AutoRoute)

In Outlook's contacts, I can get a map of the address by clicking on the
yellow-with-arrow "Display Map of this Address" button and the browser
takes me to the appropriate superpages.com map of the address. But I
have MS Streets & Trips, which makes maps that are better than web-based
maps. Is there any way, from the contact window, I can get the
appropriate map in Streets & Trips displayed? If this can't be done
automatically, what if I open S&T > save a map of the address > then
create a shortcut to the .est file. Is there some way I can execute that
shortcut from the from contact window?

S&T doesn't support Outlook. You can attach images and other attachments to
the Notes field and double click to open.

By default, Outlook uses Mappoint, which are exactly the same maps that S&T
uses.

Not quite the same. I can edit the S&T maps to some extent, and I can
manipulate them, pan, for example, faster. But yes, they both appear to
use the same maps.

And S&T doesn't include the com addin required to integrate with outlook...
and not all S&T owners own (or can afford) Mapppoint.

A lot of programs use the same basic mapping data... there are like 3
companies that license it to map makers.

Milly, your tip Use Maps with Outlook states
"Attempts to use this key with Outlook 2003 cause Outlook to crash"
What is an alternate solution for Outlook 2003?

At this time we don't know what key to use with Outlook 2003 to avoid
crashing.
