Shortcut Groups Automatically Expanded

I'm new to Outlook 2003. I have created several Shortcut Groups on the
Shortcut Pane, each group containing several folders. Even if I collapse
each group prior to shutting down Outlook, the next time I restart the
program, all of my Groups are expanded. Is there any way to stop this?
