Shortcut key - switch between select and text entry?

One of the most irksome things in using Visio is having to go up to
select an icon to switch between select mode and text entry mode. Is
there any shortcuts keys or any trick to make the switch?

Select object, then F2 to edit text. (Esc to exit text edit I think).

Control-1, 2, 3, 4 etc pick various drawing tools. I suspect there's a list
in help
