Shortcut key to delete - Word 2002

Ardell

In Word 2000 I used to be able to select a table row and press SHIFT Delete
and it would be gone. Now in Word 2002 (XP) the Shift Delete only deletes
the text and not the entire row. Is there some other shortcut to delete the
structure and not just the text? Thanks.

Hi Ardell,

Ctrl+X

.... didn't know about Shift+Delete in Word 2000, and have always used "cut".
You have the row on the clipboard after Ctrl+X, but that's rarely a problem.

On my machine, running Word 2002, Shift + Delete will delete the
entire row, as long as I select the entire row. Remember that
selecting the entire row requires selecting the end-of-row marker. If
you only select the cells in the row, then Shift + Delete will only
delete the text of the cells.
