Shortcut keys for Equation Editor?

A

algebraic

The shortcut keys for exponents, subscripts, radicals, etc. don't work in
version 2007. Does anyone know what the new ones are, or where I can find
them. I have looked all over with no luck. Please help!!!

Actually they do. The shortcut keys haven't changed at all IF
you're using "Microsoft Equation" (aka Equation Editor), which is
the same in Word 2007 as it was in earlier versions of Word. If
you're using Word 2007's new equation tool, then you're right;
the old shortcuts don't work. To get to the old Equation Editor,
on the Ribbon's Insert tab, click Object. From here, it's the
same as it was.

In the new equation editor, type b^2 for b-squared, and it'll automatically
convert. x_i converts to x with an i subscript. In addition to these, there
are Math AutoCorrect entries, as well. Look in Office - Word Options -
Proofing - AutoCorrect - Math AutoCorrect tab.

PS... to see other shortcuts you can use, click the dropdown arrow at the
right end of the equation and choose Linear. Anything you see in that format
will automatically convert when you type those character sequences in
"professional" display mode (pressing space or some other separator makes it
convert).
