Shortcut menus

Does anyone know how to use custom shortcut menu items that accept user
input, similar to the 'Filter For:' item in the Datasheet View Cell shortcut
menu?

You can certainly build your own shortcut menus, and thus they can run any
convincible kind of code that you write. Without question, then that code
can certainly prompt the users for any kind of info you desire.
