Shortcut to word opening a particular template?

I have created a quote template. It works fine. I would
like to create a shortcut on my desktop, which will open
Word and a new document based on my quote template.

Does anyone know of a way to do this?

All you need to do is create a shortcut to the template. (Use the Explorer.
Display the templates folder. Right-click the template, select Send To >
Desktop.)

I didn't think about a shortcut to a template, I thought I
had to have the shortcut to word and then tell it what
template I wanted to use.
