I have forgotten the shortcut, that in a Word X document moves the cursor
from the beginning of the document to the end/bottom of the text.

cmd-end. On Powerbook that's cmd-fn-right arrow.

Oh, but I'm on an iMac 233 with the small keyboard. I don't think I have an
'end' button. Fn?

What's that little key at the top right of the numeric keypad? The one
with the arrow pointing down with an = through it?

(Gosh you are so lucky to find someone with a iMac 233 in the office
next door.)
If that does not work, you could always assign a new key combination

Tools->Customize->Keyboard->categories->all commands
Then look for EndofDocument in the commands subpanel, and while it is
selected do the obvious things in the "Press new shortcut key".

Fn? That's a Powerbook special to allow the function keys do double
duty.

Thank you very much for your answer. But I _know_ that there is a different
shortcut, also for an iMac 233 keyboard ;-) -- but I have forgotten it.
Something with the alt key...?

When you go to change the shortcut, it will tell you what is there
already.
Mine came up with cmd-end and option-end (aka alt-end)
Neither very useful if you cannot find your end key.
