should I install office pack 3?

I had major trouble with SP2 & my computer is STILL not back to normal. It
just about destroyed my data & the techs wanted me to wipe my hard drive &
start over. Now they have SP3 & it says it contains all the stuff from SP 2.
Will I be shooting muself in the foot if I install?

Sorry to say I have had major problems with SP2 and a similar question. I
have reverted back to SP1
