Should I install SP3 for SharePoint Team Services?

I used to have Office XP and (apparently) SharePoint Team Services on my PC.
However, I installed Office 2003, and before I installed it, I uninstalled
Office XP. I just went to Microsoft's Office website and installed service
pack 1 for Office 2003. It then instructed me to return looking for more
updates and it saw that I needed a service pack 3 for SharePoint Team
Services. I really wasn't even aware of the fact I even had SharePoint Team
Services.

So, my question is, do I really even need this?

Do you have any Office XP programs still on your system? Do you USE
SharePoint? If no, then why install it?

I am running STS production systems and have not seen the need to add STS
SP3.

In your case look in Control Panel; Add and Remove Programs and if you do
have STS installed then it should be listed and you can remove it.
