Shouldn't matter which web browser I use to get updates...

Shouldn't have to use ONLY IE to do updates to my office product... Be open
to open standards... IE is irrelevant when it comes to this feature...

The MS Update site uses ActiveX controls. There is an add-on for Firefox, if I recall correctly that will support active X
controls.
