Show contact address in "to field" instead of Name (Address)

Hi all

I use Outlook contacts as my centralised address book. When I save a contact

usually save their full names

However, when I send an email, I would prefer not to have their name shown a
all in the "to field" when they receive it. It would be best if th
"to field" only shows the email address, instead of the name an
emai
address, like thi

What I don't want. E.g

To: John Stephen Harvey ([email protected]

What I wan
To: (e-mail address removed)

I'm not sure if this is to do with the "file as" field or th
"email display as field" of the contact? Is there a way, by custo
form, a setting in outlook or otherwise, to set as default behaviour for th
"to field" to show only the email address of the contact and not it
name I entered in the address book

Would be grateful from any help from more experienced users

On your contact page there should be an option that says "Display As",
probably found just under the email address. If you delete the name and
leave only the email address, that is all that will show.

Thanks for your help. I eventually found a workaround

In my custom form, I set as default for the email display as field to take th
initial value of email. This takes care of future contacts created

For existing contacts, I was able to trigger Outlook to regenerate the emai
display as field from the new custom form by changing the message class to th
default outlook contact form and then back to my custom form

Hope this helps anyone who might be facing the same prob.
