show controls based on the value entered in one control

I want to have one data entry form for several different processes. What I
imagine happening is that all of the controls will be hidden except the one
asking for the processID. When the processID is entered, the controls that
are required to be filled in for that process will become visible.
Am I way off base thinking I can do this? If not, can someone give me a
push in the right direction?

nevermind! I had been suffering a brain freeze and it thawed. I got this to
work. I have posted a new question in continuation of this process. Please
