Show data graphic only when data exists

David Perry

How can I set the data graphic, which I've applied to all shapes on a page,
to only display when there is shape data present?

ex.. I see ___________0 when there is no data in the field I've used for
the graphic. I'd rather it not show at all.

thx

Hi David,

What do you mean exactly by "0 data" If it's numerical, then 0 is just as
interesting as 86, eh?

If the data is a string, then I'm seeing this:

Label__________

with no data at the end. I guess that's a bit frustrating, but can't think
of an easy way to get this to disappear.

You could create a custom Text item that hides itself when the data is
"nothing", but you'd have to get into ShapeSheet programming. Not sure if
this is your cup of tea...

I think that David needs to have an empty string as the default value,
rather than nothing.
This is easily done by entering a value, then deleting it! ... strange but
true.
