show different templates on the same page

I am a Visio 2002 user. When I create a new diagram, I will go
to tool bar (e.g. New->Network->Basic Network), and
all the icons will show on the left hand side and I can
select any icons to put on the page.

However, if i want other icons from other template, then I
need to click New->Flow Chart->Basic Chart, and my current
page will be gone, and I need to go to Windows in the tool bar
to get the page that I am current working on.

Is there some other way that I can use icons from different
templates for one page, and I don't need to switch back and forth.

please advise. thanks!!

A template in Visio is usually a predefined page with a list of stencils
opened by default with it.
However, you may open any other stencil and use its shapes on your current
diagram by opening one from File / Stencils (File / Shapes in Visio 2003)
