Show mancount per day?

Is there any possible way to show or display daily headcounts at the summary
level? My client wants to know how many workers we have on site for a given
day and what tasks they are working on. But mancounts not hours. I was able
to create a custom field that shows the mancounts for a given task, but it
doesn't break it down by day.

Any thoughts or ideas on what I can do in regards to mancounts?

Hi

You may change the unit of 'Work' to 'days' through Tools > Options >
Schedule.

Now in 'Resource Usage' view You will get the information about resource
required for each task each day and total for each day. Here work is given in
days, which is primarily mandays and indicates number of resources only.

I hope it helps

Hello akphidelt,

If you don't need immensely precise numbers, you could just divide
your mancounts to task calculation by the duration of the task to
produce an average count per day.

If more precise information is required, exporting the Task Usage
data to Excel and then performing the calculations there may be the
only option. If you are using Project 2003 or earlier you can use
the Analyze Timescaled Data in excel command from the Analysis
Toolbar. If you are using Project 2007, you'll need to export
through the Visual Reports or by saving the data as a *cub file.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
