Show misspeled words

I know Word will underline misspelled words. So you can change the
word in a correct one what's in your dictionary.
I work with Word 10.1.6 and with a Dutch dictionary,
but
Word will not show misspeld words in my text.
Which option do I have to activate?
And where can I find that option?

Hello Aad-

Try this:

Go to the Word menu and select Preferences. In the Preferences window
click the tab labeled "Spelling and Grammar" (I believe that's how it's
worded). Look for the option to Check Spelling as you Type.

If that doesn't do it or if the feature is already "on" but not
working, post back with details.

Good Luck|:>)

Hi Aad,

In order for the spell check to work, the text you're checking must be set
to the same language as the dictionary. So select the text in question, go
to Tools> Language, and mark the selected text as Dutch. That should do it.

Also, if you usually write in Dutch and want the spell check to just work
automatically in that language, change your system's language (System
Preferences> International) to Dutch. Of course the spell check then won't
work with text marked as English unless you switch dictionaries.

Hope this helps.
