If you want to show only regular tasks, and not summary tasks or milestone
tasks, you can create a filter to show this by doing the following:
1. Click Project - Filtered For - More Filters.
2. In the More Filters dialog, click the New button.
3. Name the filter something like _Regular Tasks (the underscore character
pushes it to the top of the menu).
4. Set the Filter criteria as follows:
Summary Does Not Equal Yes
And Milestone Does Not Equal Yes
5. Click the OK button and then click the Apply button.
If you want to use this Filter in all current and future tasks, click
Tools - Organizer and copy it from the current project into your Global.mpt
file. Hope this helps.
