Show renamed user fields in PWA

In Project Pro 2007 I've defined the "text1" field to display as "Task Type".
How do I get this to carry over into PWA? The published project shows "Text1"
as the field heading.

Hi Pete,

You need to do this via the Enterprise Custom Fields in Server settings.
Create a task field of type text and call it Task Type. Open up project, and
you'll find it's available to everyone.

You will need to do 2 more things, in addition to what Ben suggested, if you
want to see the field in PWA.

1) Publish the project after creating the Ent. custom field.
2) add it to one of the views so that everybody can see it on PWA.

In trying to follow the instructions above I have come up with another
(related?) issue that might be better posted to the General Project questions
forum:
I am importing projects from Excel.
I created the Enterprise Custom Field in Server settings following Ben's
instructions.
I launch project pro and open the excel file. In stepping through the wizard
the import map finds the new enterprise field and maps accordingly with no
problem. (The preview below the mapping setup shows the new field with
correct data populating the preview).
Finish the import, insert the new field in my project view.
Field is BLANK. No data populates it at all!

Am I missing something or should I post elsewhere?
Pete
