Showing database information on Visio shapes

I have custom shapes on a Visio drawing that represent
sampling points. On an Access databse I have the
sampling results. I have made the relationship from the
drawing to the database. I want to be able to show
various fields from the database on the drawing. I am
selecting a shape, inserting a field from the insert menu
and selecting the information to add. However I can only
add one field per shape and the text comes out vertically
(the shape is not big enough to accomodate the text and I
cant make the shape bigger). I think that I would need
to create the shape anew and add some text field outside
the shape (like the generator shape from the shop floor
stencil) and I dont know how to do that or make
information from the database visible in Visio. Thanks
for your help.

In 2002 Pro: I created a blank stencil and opened it for editing. Then opened a blank page the same scale as what I normally used (so the masters wouldn't be too big) and 'drew' the shapes I wanted, created the blank custom properties for each shape and dragged the completed shape onto the stencil. That created new stencil masters. Then when I drag them onto the working page, I open the custom properties and link it to the database field
When you back up your work, don't forget to backup your stencil. The default path for a standard loadout is
