Showing office custom balloon assistant

Hi everyone,

I am trying to add a non-intrusive way of displaying information to the
Visio 2003 user by trying to use Office balloons. I looked for various
examples online and they all use the Assistant object.

However, Visio does not seem to be able to access this object. My guess is
that I have to enable or add some component somewhere. Does anyone know how
I can enable this? Also, is it possible to enable this programatically at
run-time?

I don't know of any way to do this. Visio does not use the Office Assistant
technology. If you want something closer to a tooltip on a shape, try
Insert > Shape ScreenTip. Your other option would be a Smart Tag with some
informative text.
