Showing one doc file in another, is 'insert object' the correct way to achieve this?

Hi,
I would like to display the contents of doc file1 as an appendix in doc
file 2, should I be using the 'insert object' method. If so why am
I only seeing the first page of doc 1? Any assistance is kindly
appreciated.

To answer my own question....

I have started using the master and sub document concept, and found
that it works much better, and as I need it.
