showing only one Field record

This is kind of hard to explain. This problem has been giving me a huge
headache over the last few days. I have a query when ran it populates mutiple
carton rows in the field. I would like to see just one carton field. The
problem is caused by another field. The results look like:

Manifest Date Qty Comment
R1145678 1154874 6/4/06 878644
6/8/06 100 D-40

The goal is to show only one of the cartons not both. It doesn't matter which
carton value shows because the date fields and the qty are the same. I
searched on the net and i tried setting values query properties to Yes for
unique values, it didn't work. The comment field is a text value. Need some
type of help, guidance, anything.

Jumpy: try removing the Comment field from the query and then use the Totals
(the Sigma sign) button on the top menu in the query designer window. If you
have to have the comment field, you will need to invenstigate Cross-tab
queries.
