Showing SubTitles Text Boxes in Slides

I created a presentation some two years ago which included a number of slides
with the title-subtitle format. I was using the Title to ask question and
then I would show the answer in the sub-title. What I don't remember is the
keys used to unhide the subtitle text box.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to animate the subtitle text.

Select it.
Click Slide Show > Custom Animation. In the Animation Task Pane, select Add
Effect > Entrance. Select Appear and Start On Click.

Actually, the slide type is "Title & Text". What I think I'm confused by is
for some of the slides the "Text" automatically is present with the slide,
but yet on others the text is hidden. This seems so basic -- yet I'm missing
something.

I appreciate your help!

For PowerPoint 2002/2003:

In the Title & Text icon, click the drop-down menu and select "Reapply"
layout. That should make the Text box return.
