I have separated the mail for a group of accounts that I have into a second
PST file, while keeping my other accounts in my main Personal Folders PST
file. I always have the 2nd PST open, along with the standard PST file. I
have a series of rules to sort the mail when it arrives into the appropriate
folders in each PST file.
Then problem is that in my Favorites Folder, the Unread Mail count usually
does not include the unread mail in the 2nd PST file (although sometimes it
does). This is frustrating because I can't always tell when I have new mail.
Some of my rules put new mail in various sub-subfolders but the folders do
not always open up for me to see that there is unread mail. Since I can't
usually see new mail either in the expanded folder or in the Unread Mail
count, I sometimes find unread mail days later when I happen to expand a
folder.
Is there a way to get Unread Mail to count mail in both the Personal Folders
(the main file) and my second PST folder? Or, would it be possible to add a
second Unread Mail count to the Favorite Folders section that would count
only the 2nd PST file? If not, can anyone think of a way to allow me to
consistently see when unread mail arrives in the 2nd PST? (short of dumping
everything in the Inbox without sorting it -- I get way too much mail for
that)
I'm running Office 2003 on XP2. Thanks.
