Shrink size of "Date: Today" header field

Hey all,

I am using Outlook 2003.

Right now, my messages are sorted by Date.

Above each individual date, there is a field which says "Date: Today",
"Date: Yesterday", "Date: Last Week", etc.

That field is huge, and takes up a large amount of precious screen
real-estate, half of which is white space. Is there a way to shrink the
size of that field?

You can turn it off by clicking "View", then "Arrange By" and then unchecking
"Show in Groups"

I'd like to keep the field, but I just want to modify the field.

Is that possible?
