Shrink

In one of my reports, some records have an empty field. I do not want that
field to show as a blank line when I run the report. I have made that field
"Can Shrink" but the blank line still shows when I run the report.

How can I fix that?

Is there a label or other control on the same vertical "level" as the
textbox in question?

Is the Can Shrink property of the report section also been set to Yes?

Is the value of the field Null, or is there a chance it could really contain
a "" zero-length string?

I apoligize, but how do I find out if the value of the field in null or not,
and how do I cange it?

Guy,

The easiest way to find out is make a query based on the table, and in the
criteria for this field put:
Is Null
Run the query, and see if the records returned as you would expect.
If not, replace the criteria with:
""
.... and run the query again.
