Side bar large, workspace small

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel hello.

In my powerpoint, the sidebar icons are large (the program opens them at 300% size) and the workspace area is small (the size that the icons should be)

does anyone know how to fix this problem?
