side by side front page pages??

I asked this question before but no one tried to answer it. It must be a
dumb one but here goes again.

I want to use FrontPage 2000 with side by side pages open at the same time.
It use to do that when it was on my XP machine. But now that it is on my
Vista Home Premium laptop, it opens a new page on top of the one already
open. I want the pages to be side by side so I can work on both at the same
time. Is there a setting in FP 2000 to be able to do that?

You have to open a new Window, Menu | Window | New Window and then open the page you want.

Launch a second instance of FrontPage and open the page in it.

That is the way it use to work, but it no longer will open a second FP page
excpet on top of the one that is open. No second seperate window. The
window menu does not open another full FP window, just a new page on top of
the one already open.

This is working. To get two different FP windows to open at the same time I
have to open an FP window, close the white page so the FP window is empty,
click on the Window menu and select New Page. When I get as many open FP
windows as I need, I open the page I want to work on in the FP window. They
all stay separate that way. This works though it is not as convenient as
just opening another FP page. It must be some quirk with FP 2000 on Vista.

Hi Sally,

Try doing the way Tom Rowe mentioned through the Window Menu:

You have to open a new Window, Menu | Window | New Window and then
open the page you want.

You can have two different pages open that way..you might possibly need to
resize them so you can have them next to each other.

I give up. I thought it was working because I can open more than one
physical FP window. But, although the windows are open, when I bring in a
page up to work on, only 1 FP window will receive the open page. In other
words, with three FP windows open, I bring the first page up, no problem. I
go to the next Front Page window to bring up a second page. Itt opens into
the first FP window. The second FP window remains empty even though I used
the Open menu in the second FP window.
