Side-by-side in Word for Mac

I tried Window > Arrange All (Word 2004 for Macs) to get
side-by-side view of two documents, but this placed them one on top of
the other, horizontally, as in one's feet on the other's head. Word
2003, by contrast, offers Window > View Documents Side by Side, as in
horizontally, or...well, "side by side." A Microsoft tech person on
the phone told me my only option with 2004 for Mac is to drag the
documents around the screen and placed them side by side. This results
in being unable to see the whole documents. Anyone know of any tricks?
