Sideways text

Steven

My entire text is sideways, including some of the icons,
such as the text justification icons. The text is not,
at least to my knowledge, included in a text box.
Therefore, it's not a product of the "text justification"
feature. I have included a sample file below. I tried
all weekend to figure this out and I could not. Any
suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi Steven,

:-o

Didn't know Word was able to do that trick...

Since HTML doesn't support this vertical text flow:
If you save as HTML and re-open, you get rid of it.

In RTF, the trick is done with
\stextflow = Section property for specifying text flow:
0 Text flows left to right and top to bottom
1 Text flows top to bottom and right to left, vertical
2 Text flows left to right and bottom to top
3 Text flows right to left and top to bottom
4 Text flows left to right and top to bottom, vertical
5 Text flows vertically, non-vertical font

Some of those settings don't seem to work as advertised in Word2002/2003;
3 seems to be like 1, 4 like 2, and 5 leads to display problems in layout
view.
Maybe it's some Asian layout setting that I am not aware of, but I didn't
find to change this section property from the user interface.

Greetings,
Klaus
