Signature and Links

There is a thread from 2 years ago regarding my question.. it didn't work for
me, so here it is again:

I have a picture with text as my signature. I want to create a web page link
within my signature. Is this possible with 2007?

Thanks!

Have you tried?

Yes,
I tried using the method that was in the previous thread.. It suggested
putting HTML for both the picture and the link. There were others who said it
didn't work, but I couldn't tell from the post which version of Outlook was
being used.
Do you know if it can be done (this way or another) in 2007?

What happened when you tried? What did not work?

*****************
Nothing worked. The only difference I saw was that when my cursor hovered
over the object that I want to make 'clickable' it changed shapes. it went
from an "I" shape to a cross-hair (with the arrows on all four points). It
doesn't turn into a hand or do anything when clicked on. This is what the
thread said to use:

<a href="http://www.example.com"><img> src=" \\network\user\name\My
Pictures\signature.jpg" alt="picture name"

Yes, I did change the paths to my info.

Thanks very much!
