Signature double spaces but only in replies and forwards. HELP!!

I have the same signature for new emails as well as for replies and forwards
and what is happening is that when I send a reply or forward, the signature
gets double spacing. I tried deleting the hard returns and doing shift +
enter and that worked for 2 days but its reverted back. I tried this again
with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions??
