i'm trying to create a signature in outlook. when i press advanced edit, it
should come up as word, but it comes up as notepad...does anyone know how to

Have you checked if you are using Word as the default e-mail editor? You can
do this in the options menu under the "Mail Format" the very top check box.

It should come up with the default html editor and not the default email
editor. The default html editor needs to be set to other than Notepad.

thanks...i tried that, and it is word...HELP states i should go into My
Computer, then tools, then folder options, then file type, then change, but i
just don't get it. I'm not quite sure what to change. This is driving me
crazy.

Try this: open Internet Explorer, click Tools>Internet Options>Prograsm, and
change the "HTML Editor" to Microsoft Office Word.
