re:Outlook 2007 running on Vista Home Premium
We have started having trouble with the buttons on the Mail Format tab
(Tools | Options | Mail Format). The buttons under “Message Format†work. But
lower down, the buttons labeled “Stationery and fonts,†“Signatures†and
“Editor options†do not respond to mouse clicks (The visual on the button
responds appropriately to the click, but no dialog box launches.) Also, the
“Spelling and Autocorrection†button on the “Spelling†tab has stopped
working.
If I open a new message and click Signatures, the several drop down
selections of signatures (the ones we previously created) insert the
signatures as they are supposed to. But there is no response when we click
the “Signatures†selection to create a new signature.
We have attempted these fixes:
1) Reset the Toolbar
View | Toolbars | Customize
Then clicked “Reset Menu and Toolbar Usage Dataâ€
2) Renamed the OUTCMD.DAT file
3) Removed the Google desktop Add-In that was recently installed.
4) Uninstalled Mozilla Firefox that had recently been installed.
Asa for the next steps:
Are there any other files besides OUTCMD.DAT to try deleting?
Would running “Microsoft Office Diagnostics†help?
Perhaps uninstall and re-install program?
Many thanks.
