Signatures not visible to recipients

I am running OL XP. I am trying to create a signature
file and having major pains. In OL I have selected HTML
for the format, and am using Word as the editor. I can
create a signature from a jpg file, or from htm. It has
all the text, as well as a logo, in the same file which
was actualy created in Adobe Illustrator. It appears
fine on my side. But the recipents all get red "x"
placeholders. As an alternative, I then tried to just
put the text in, with the logo as the only pic. Text now
works, but the jpg logo doesn't show up.

Any thoughts?? Management is about to go insane with not
having a corporate standard signature, and I cannot for
the life of me get it to work! Help!
