Silent Activation Office 2007

O

Oliver Berchtold

WE need to distribute Office 2007 Enterprise through our Software Delivery
Tool. We actually got a VLK key from micrsoft along with Office 2007
Enterprise. I read on different websites that there should not be any
activation. What so ever, there is in our case. I'm not sure if its the Key
or not. We dont get another key from microsoft so i need to find a solution
to activation office 2007 through the command line.
Does anyone know how i can activate office 2007 and also Visio 2007?

Thanks

Hi Oliver,

If you have a volume license key and volume license (non-retail/non-oem) media, you can use these as part of your deployment using
either the Office 2007 Customization Tool (OCT) as described in the Office 2007 Resource Kit (ORK)
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179097.aspx
or if you're manually doing a Group Policy deployment, in the Config.xml file
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179195.aspx
so that there isn't a machine specific activation (online link or via phone).

You can use the Activation Center contact numbers through the link at the end of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/828378?FR=1

If you're using retail product, then Activation doesn't really have a bipass mechanism.
